Chicken TIKKA Skewers

So delicious and flavorful marinated garlic chicken tekka skewers For Dinner served with a side of garlicky yogurt sauce (also known as a taratur ) & avocado Lime dip or Hummus dip ,,,only 290 Calories .
Marinated in a smoked paprika garlicy yogurt, these chicken skewers are grilled to perfection and served with your favorite sides & toppings!

Ingredients
1 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into 1″ cubes
3/4 c. whole milk or Greek yogurt

3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil

2 Tbsp lemon juice
-
4 cloves minced garlic
-
1 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
-
1 tsp salt
-
3/4 tsp black pepper
-
1/2 tsp oregano
-
12-16 grilling skewers

For Serving: Tabbouleh Salad, Hummus, Pitas, Taraturi Sauce, Feta cheese, Cucumbers.
1- make the marinade mixing the yogurt or milk with the spice mix and a bit of oil
2-cut the chicken lengthwise into 12 strips & marinade them in the fridge overnight or for as long as possible
3- thread chicken onto wooden skewers
4- heat the grill to a medium heat
5- brush the grill with oil
6- place skewers on the grill directly over heat
7- grill for 15 minutes or until chicken is pinky
Or place the skewers on a baking sheet lined with foil and toss them in the oven for 30 minutes
8- done .. serve with a delicious Hummus or avocado lime Dip or tarature sauce , Enjoy.
Recipe Notes

In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and oregano. Add the chicken, stirring to coat. Marinate the chicken about 2 hours or up to overnight.

*If using wooden skewers, be sure to soak them in water 30 minutes prior to grilling! Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

Thread the cubed chicken onto the skewers, leaving a little space between them. Depending on how many people you’re serving, you should end up with 12-16 skewers. Discard any excess marinade.

Grill the chicken Skewers, turning occasionally, about 10-15 minutes total or until chicken is cooked through.

Top with feta and serve with pitas, Tabbouleh Salad, hummus or tzatziki sauce, and fresh cucumbers.
